Type II Diabetes

Conventional Medicine has it all WRONG!

2

The United States has reached a diabetes epidemic. Currently, 24.8 million people in the United States alone are suffering from Diabetes (a whopping 12.4% of the entire US population).  In the last 50 years, the statistics of diabetes has only increased, not decreased. This is definitely a tell-tale sign that there is something wrong with the type of management for Type II diabetes.

Hello, my name is Dr. Jordan Giang and I know how frustrating it may be to be diagnosed with diabetes and taking medications with no end in sight.  Many doctors are falling short when it comes to treating Type II Diabetes.  Diabetes is more than just a blood sugar issue; there are many underlying problems that are left unaddressed when the standard of care is to lower the blood sugar levels.

Expensive and side-effect-laden prescription drugs and insulin injections are not the best treatments for Type II Diabetes long term.

Many, if not all, diabetic medications have side effects that promote the disease and ultimately leads to insulin injections.  In the conventional treatment of diabetes, diabetics are put on one or more of these popular oral medications:
  • Metformin - stops the liver from making glucose
  • Glipizide, Glimepiride, & Glyburide - increases insulin production from the pancreas
  • Prandin & Starlix - increases insulin production from the pancreas
  • Precose & Glyset - decreases rate of absorption of glucose in intestines
  • Januvia - increases insulin production from the pancreas
  • Actos & Avandia - increases glucose metabolism by forcing cells to take in more sugar

Do you see a common denominator among these popular medications?  Each and every drug focuses on glucose metabolism or insulin production because conventional medicine sees Type II Diabetes as a blood sugar problem.  The issue with Type II Diabetes is NOT the blood sugar levels.  High blood sugar levels is merely a symptom of many underlying physiological problems within the body that is associated with Type II Diabetes.  Masking the blood sugar problem with medications is similar to removing the “check engine” light bulb from your car when it turns on!

Having high levels of insulin can be very dangerous to your health.    Insulin is a very powerful hormone.  Think of insulin as “pixie” dust - powerful and only tiny amounts are needed to signal cells to utilize glucose in the blood. In most cases, your body is not lacking the hormone insulin, but it is more likely that you have become “insulin resistant” (your body has lost sensitivity to the hormone and now needs more for the same effect) and the forceful production of insulin via medications or insulin injections is again masking the problem and perpetuating Type II Diabetes!

So, what doctor in the right mind would continue to prescribe medications that promote insulin production when the body has become de-sensitized to it and can no longer process it efficiently?

Did you know that insulin at high levels can:

  • shorten your life expectancy …
  • cause you to gain weight at an alarming rate …
  • cause more insulin resistance therefore perpetuating your diabetes …
  • cause your blood pressure to increase …
  • cause cardio-vascular disease …
  • increase your risk of developing cancer?

Diabetes is a nasty disease and can ruin your life. You can lose a leg … you can lose an arm … and in serious cases you can even lose your life.

Luckily, “insulin-resistance” and Type II Diabetes is reversible!
